Democrats hold fundraiser in Bridgeport
The who's who's of the Democratic Party came out last night to the Germania Club located in the great City of Bridgeport, for a large fundraiser thrown by the Bridgeport DTC. In attendance were: Lt Gov. Kevin Sullivan, Secretary of the State Susan Bysewitz, Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, Former 4th Congressional District Candidate Diane Farrell, Mayor Dan Malloy of Stamford, Secretary of the State Candidate Audrey Blondin, SOTS Candidate Evelyn Mantilla. Some of the guest list included the Hon. Chairman Michael A. Pane and Hon. Chief Richard L. Velky of the Schaghticoke Indian Tribal Nation. The party had a wonderful atmosphere of political talk, drinks and fine food. All of the candidates articled the reasons they want to hold there various offices. Attorney General Blumenthal talked of his several fights with the federal government over " leave no child behind ". There were calls from the crowd for Diane Farrell to run against Representative Chris Shays again, which she didn't give a positive answer to. Audrey wished the Bridgeport Democrats all the best of luck in the upcoming municipal elections and she stated that she wouldn't rest until all the consitutional offices in Connecticut go Democratic, including the Governorship. Gooooo Democrats!!!.
