While local politicos are gearing up for this fall's municipal elections, some have their eyes farther into the future, the next state election in 2006 to be exact.

Among them is Democrat Audrey Blondin, a Litchfield resident and Torrington attourney wo has been campaigning virtually non-stop since she announced in December that she is seeking the Democratic nomination for secretary of state.

Blondin has raised more than $100,000 for her campaign war chest so far. She has a Blondin blog and a sophisticated Web site with just about any kind of Blondin information you might want.

To date she has visited more than 60 Democratic town committees throughout the state, asking for their support and is still on the road. She campaigned in New Hartford at Chatterly's last week.

She'll even come to your home if you invite 25 friends and neighbors.
